Favre to retire?

28 02 2005

I really hope he’s back for one more. Brett has the same birthday as a buddy of mine, same year, about 10 months older than me. Most of our friends cluster around the same age and are from the same area. Man, Favre is like a Christmas gift from God for those of us who grew up with this franchise in the 70’s and 80’s. Though he probably wishes he had could re-do that screwball move in the red zone in the playoffs against hate d division foe the Vikes, where (as Cliff Cristl eloquently stated for the Journal Sentinel) a younger Favre would’ve put his shoulder down and gone for it, the man can still wing it. I’d like to see the old man come take another shot at it all. Boy that’s a run-on sentence. I’m beat. Forget more posting; I’m goin ‘to bed!

thanks for a great season

man, i am still depressed after that loss to philly, so no caps in today’s post. all i can say is go for it on 4th and 1 when the game is on the line, not when you have a chance to put points on the board. heck, philly is still philly.

anyway, thanks to sherman for a great season.. i thought it was done 12 weeks ago, and we got a few more chances to see favre do his thing.

more later on andrew fastow and his wife, who robbed millions from hundreds if not thousands of people, but will receive sentencing that pales in comparison to that which a crack dealer would get. doesn’t seem right, but that’s black and white in amerika: 2 forms of justice for 2 colors of skin.
